Frequently Asked Questions

Lead times, warranty, spare parts and installation — the questions procurement teams ask us most.

Are AIIM instruments manufactured in Germany or Saudi Arabia?

AIIM is an independent German brand based in Hüfingen, and its instruments are engineered to the German standard. Under a recent partnership, Medica-Lab manufactures AIIM instruments in Saudi Arabia for the Saudi market. Internationally, AIIM remains a brand in its own right.

Can instrument sets be customised to our operating-room protocol?

Yes, and most hospitals do. The 130+ published sets are recommended starting points drawn from clinical practice, not fixed catalogue items. Send us your existing set list and we will quote it instrument by instrument.

How do I order a single instrument rather than a set?

Every instrument has its own catalogue reference. Download the relevant catalog from the catalogs page, note the reference numbers, and send them with quantities. If you have the reference from another manufacturer, we can usually identify the equivalent.

What is the quality standard?

Instruments are forged from surgical-grade stainless steel to German tolerances and passivated for corrosion resistance. AIIM operates a quality management system certified to EN ISO 13485. Instruments hold their tolerance through hundreds of autoclave cycles.

Do you offer repair and maintenance?

Yes. AIIM provides instrument repair and refurbishment — realignment, resharpening and tungsten-carbide insert replacement. This is usually far more economical than replacing a set, and we can assess a sample batch before you commit.

Are catalogs available for download?

Yes — 78 catalogs covering every discipline are downloadable from the catalogs page, with no registration required. They include reference numbers, dimensions and working lengths so you can specify precisely.
